1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you") and the provider of BillDesk ("we," "us," "our") regarding the BillDesk software application ("BillDesk" or the "Software") and this website (the "Site"). By purchasing a license, downloading the Software, or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use BillDesk.
2. Product description
BillDesk is a premium, local-first desktop productivity application for Windows and macOS (availability may vary by release). It enables freelancers, consultants, and small agencies to manage clients, create professional PDF invoices, track time and expenses, log mileage, and organize financial records. All business data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not host or access your client lists, invoices, or financial records stored within the application.
3. Free download and trial
BillDesk may be downloaded free of charge for Windows and macOS from this Site. New installations include a 7-day full free trial with access to all application features. No license key or payment is required during the trial period. When the trial ends, continued use requires purchasing and activating a paid lifetime license as described below.
4. License grant
Upon successful payment, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use BillDesk on one (1) device, subject to activation via a unique license key bound to that device's hardware identifier. Your license does not expire. Any updates we choose to release are provided at no additional cost, though we do not guarantee any particular update frequency or a fixed period of ongoing development.
- You may reinstall BillDesk on the same activated device without limit.
- You may not share, resell, sublicense, or publicly distribute license keys.
- You may not circumvent activation, licensing, or security mechanisms.
- You may not reverse engineer the Software except where expressly permitted by law.
5. Purchase, pricing, and payment
BillDesk is sold as a one-time lifetime license. The current price displayed on our Site at the time of checkout applies (currently $29 USD, subject to change for future customers). Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record for your transaction. Taxes, where applicable, are calculated at checkout based on your location. Dodo Payments emails you a payment receipt containing the Payment ID you use to retrieve your license key (see Section 6).
6. Delivery and license recovery
Delivery is digital and immediate. Upon successful payment, your license key is generated automatically and shown to you on the confirmation screen. The key itself is not sent by email, so you can retrieve it at any time using the license recovery tool on this Site with the email you used at checkout and your Dodo Payment ID (included in the receipt Dodo emails you). We recommend keeping that receipt so you can access your key whenever you need it.
7. Refunds
Because BillDesk includes a full 7-day free trial that lets you evaluate every feature before paying, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds once a license key has been issued. For full details, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
8. Support
Technical support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis via email at craftedwebstudio@gmail.com. We do not guarantee a specific response time or resolution time. BillDesk does not constitute tax, legal, or accounting advice.
9. System requirements and updates
You are responsible for ensuring your device meets published minimum system requirements. We may release updates that improve security, compatibility, or features from time to time, though we do not commit to a fixed update schedule. Discontinued operating systems may eventually lose compatibility, without obligation on our part to maintain support.
10. Intellectual property
BillDesk, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you—only the limited license described above.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF BILLDESK SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR LICENSE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Termination
We may revoke your license if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease using the Software. Data stored locally on your device remains under your control.
14. Chargebacks and disputes
If you have a billing concern, contact us before initiating a chargeback. Card network chargebacks are governed by your bank and payment network rules and may proceed regardless of our refund policy. We may provide transaction and delivery records to payment partners in dispute investigations.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Material changes will be posted on this Site. Continued use of the Site or Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangladesh, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
